10 mile hike

The fifth graders at Mckenzie's school have been preparing all year for a 10 mile hike up springville canyon to a park. 5 miles up and 5 miles back. I decided to participate in this. It was a nice walk going up and I really enjoyed the scenery but coming back was very hard. My legs were so tired. I finished it though and it gave me a sense of accomplishing something and time to spend with Mckenzie.

I am the one with the red back pack. A picture of my better side

Pizza for a reward of making it half way

Scott and Madison met us there by car. Scott is eating his favorite fried chicken

Way to go on the hike! I would have dropped dead by the first mile! Scott's idea of driving up was great.

That's so cool that you went, I'm sure you did feel good when you finished the ten mile hike. What a fun thing for Mckenzie, I bet she loved it!

Hey Michelle, I could have done a big hike like that. I would have been tempted to take Madison home with the car and leace Scott to walk back with the kids.

Thanks for visiting my Blog.

You are a brave soul. I'm so out of shape, I don't know if I'd have made it! At the very least, I'd have needed a nice foot soak when I got home!
