I'm Still Here

Its high time I blog again. We are finally moved into our home. We have felt so very welcome. Six different neighbors brought us treats to welcome us to the neighborhood. So we signed up for internet the dial up kind. We have been spoiled in our last home with high speed internet. Well dial up what a joke it took forever to do anything so my plan was to not use the internet period. Anyway we found a cheap cheap way for a phone line called magic jack and now our internet service is back in service High speed so Here I am blogging again. So here is our happenings the last few months mostly with Michaela, she just got her drivers permit and had two surgeries.

We went to the Young Womens conference at the conference center with some of our Good friends

Michaela had 4 wisdom teeth removed and two front teeth. Look at those cute chipmunk cheeks

Here she is right after surgery her mouth filled with gauze

Here is Michaela with her other surgery, she broke her pinky playing basketball. She was put to sleep with live x ray while the doctor straightened the bone and put three pins in her finger.
She had to have surgery to fix the bone or in the long run she may not have had a very good grip with her pinky being crooked when she made a fist. This is her right before her surgery and very very very nervous

Right after surgery with her arm all wrapped

The three pins in her finger

Our basement pictures of our floor being layed

Ashley was in a spelling bee

Here is a video of michaela with her baby. This is a class that she is taking at the school where they have to bring a baby home for the weekend. She is graded on how well she takes care of the babies needs. It sounds so real because it cries just like a baby. So some of the comments she made were, "when I have a baby its not going to cry this much. She also had to take care of this baby all night which doesn't sleep. So she was commenting why it took 20 min. to feed a baby in the night It shouldn't take that long she said. It was so funny and probably a bit of a eye opener for preparing her for motherhood some day.

TO DO OR NOT TO DO

As many of you know, Our moving to Mesquite Nevada did not work out and we ended up in springville utah. Our plan was to rent and hope that Scott was able to be a manager again and buy a house some day well here we are three years later. We decided to buy a home here in Springville since nothing was happening job wise. The day we were supposed to find out if the person owning the house we were interested in was going to accept our offer, Scott gets a phone call for a second interview in Maine. Okay so what do we do???? Scott was so sure he wouldn't even get the position with the economy they are not moving people. We decided to pursue the house. come to find out the position was down to him and one other person with Scott having more experience so it was highly likely that he had a really good chance of getting the postion but do we want to move back there or stay here. We absolutely love the east and the opportunity to go back there is sooooooo tempting but family is keeping us here so as you can see our decision was to back out of the job and stay here. I just wanted to show pictures of our house. The basement is unfinished which is what we are trying to finish right now. Some of it is hired out and some Scott is doing on his own.

Here is a picture of our kitchen

More of the kitchen

Our living room and my accent wall, I will be changing the color because it really doesn't match my colors of wall decorations

Our basement this is my storage room, in the very back is a small room for cold cold storage

Our Family room, scott is working on the wiring for electricity, which he did mostly by himself and some help from his dad

Part of the family room and the room in the back will be Michaela's room

Part of Mckenzie's room the room next to it is my Laundry room

The other part of Mckenzie's room

The bathroom

The sheetrocking is now done and they are working on the mudding. This will be my Laundry room. I have always wanted a bigger laundry room

Braces!!

So Michaela,Mckenzie, and I all got braces. I have never been happy with my smile and have always wanted braces. The big motivation was my sister got them almost a year ago. We all three got them together so we will all be enduring this together.

Here is Mckenzie in the chair getting ready.

Here is me getting ready for them and just a "tad" bit nervous for what is ahead am I to old for this?

Here is me during the procedure

Michaela getting hers on

Michaela and Mckenzie right after they are done

Here is us three with are "shiny" new smile

So now we have them on they are painful, awkward, and especially annoying because part of life is eating three times a day and that is a chore. They feel really weird but in the end it will all be so worth it. By the way we finally bought a new camera!
