TWILIGHT!

I dont' know how many of you have gotten
into these twilight books but with it being
so popular and all I decided to read the first
one. It was okay, I didn't get into the book
so much but finally Scott and I found the
time to go see the movie Saturday night and it
was very very good. My favorite part it the song
that Edward wrote for Bella as you can hear playing
right now. It is so beautiful!!! Scott is on the fourth
book right now and Mckenzie has read the first
three books and seen the movie 5 times (crazy)
I don't know if I will read the rest of the books
but really would like to see the rest of the movies
when they come out. Enjoy the song!

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas(I know its a little late for it) but to tell all of you Thank You for all of your Christmas cards and cute pictures! I have been having awful pelvic pain and cramping for the last two weeks. The final outcome was that it was a possible cysts. I had a ultra sound on Tuesday to see if there was anything abnormal going on and they said everything looks fine, so I am thankful for that, it has been hard though to do any Christmas shopping. Thanks to Scott he did most of it. I have taken tons of Ibprofen to numb the pain. I hope I didn't ruin my stomache! I have Michaela, Mckenzie and Ashleys skating program to the nutcracker on ice that I need to post but don't know how to do viedeo's which is scott's department. Oh and madison took a dance class this last fall and did a Christmas dance, so I have that to post. So when Scott gets the time we will get them posted(with a little bribing!)

Thankful

I Wanted to post this on Thanksgiving Day but I didn't get a chance to. I work at Sears and it was frustrating to see them putting up Christmas the first week of October. What happened with Halloween and Thanksgiving. So as time goes on people have there Christmas Trees up and lights outside and it is so frustrating. I hope that we will all remember Thanksgiving Day and the real purpose of it before we start to celebrate Christmas. I want to share a couple of incidences that have happened to me the two years I have lived here in Springville. The first one happened a year and a half ago in May when I went outside for a morning jog. During that time I was down with things in my life. That was all I could think about. That afternoon I was sitting on my lawn talking to my neighbor when my other neighbor came over and asked if we could keep and eye on his house for a while. I said, are you going on vacation or something and he said his 3 year old son was just diagnosed with leukemia and they were headed for primary children's hospital. I was in shock and reality set in that I should not be complaining about the minor things in my life because it could be worse.
The other incidence that happened was this summer when I went to help a ward member move. I was complaining because I wanted to stay home with my family but as I helped this lady I came to find out her daughter had a heart problem and has to be confined to her house during the winter months because is she catches RSV she could die.
So things like this has made me stop and think that my life could be worse. I am so thankful that my family is healthy and we can do the normal things in life that some people can't do.
Other things I am thankful for
A wonderful husband who is so good to me.
My husband has a job
The gospel
A warm house
Food
Clothing
The sunshine
My girls
A loving heavenly father that I can turn to in time of need
Inspirational music to help me through the tough times
family vacations together
ect ect ect
I am thankful for Thanksgiving Day to remind me what I am greatful for.

I dropped my drawers!!!!!

So some of you may have grown up knowing that any normal pants go up to.waist until they started making pants that say low rise so they go up as far as below the waist. I was walking to church with Michaela about a month ago wearing my skirt and she says pull your skirt down its up to high on your waist. I said Michaela, any normal clothes go up this high and of course she didn't bleieve me since she has been around this generation where pants sit below the waist. She thought I looked pretty dorky! On with my story I found a cute cute skirt that I really liked but it was a bit short. I like my skirts to be at my knees or below. So I thought I will just buy a bigger size and wear it low with a pin of course. Last week I was merrily walking home from church when all of a sudden my skirt had fallen to my feet. I have never pulled a skirt up so fast. I was so embarrassed as a car drove by. I don't know what they saw but at least I had my white slip on, thank heavens for that. I can laugh about it now but at the time I wanted to crawl in a hole!!!!!!

My New Hampshire Friends

It has taken me a long time to figure out how to post this until my wonderful brother came and figured out how to download these pictures. Anyway I went and got the mail and was flipping through the New Era and low and behold teens in New Hampshire could it really be possible that some of these teens were from the Laconia ward and I was so excited to see some of the people. This is who I see but maybe some of you could give me more names. Sara, Olivia, Della, Cheryl, Dianes daughter I can't remember her name, One of the members of the bishopric, and I think olivia's dad is back in the back with cheryl. I believe oliva is sitting next to sara. How excited I was to see this and to once have been part of the awesome Laconia ward. It was so exciting to read this as tears came to my eyes how much New hampshire and all the friends are so dear to my heart. I love you all!!!

I'm a Klutz

So I was going shopping to wal-mart and ran into Scott, he was leaving to go home for lunch. I expressed my frustrations to him with some physical problems I have and shed some tears and went on my way not even looking at where I was going and ran into a sign that was on the ground. I completely fell over onto the ground in front of a customer and the manager that is over produce. I was so utterly embarrassed that I ran back to catch Scott before he was driving away venting my stupidity and what a DORK I was. I shed lots of tears because I felt so DUMB, then went on my way. I was able to laugh about it by night time, but at the the moment it happened I felt so embarrassed, I mean what were these people thinking of me. So that was my embarrassing day!

Ashley's Birthday and Babtism

Ashley turned 8 years old. This was a special Birthday because it is the age for babtism. We bought her scriptures with her name engraved on her scriptures

She also recieved a webkinz, a skunk she loves those stuffed animals

Here she is blowing out her candles

Grandma Murdoch sewed this beautiful white dress for her

Here is Ashley and her Dad just before her babtism

We had a luncheon afterwards at a park. All of my family came. This is the first time in our family we have had everyone attend a special occasion because all of the previous ones we have lived far away, so that was special for me to have all of my family there. This is a picture of Ashley's cousins

They all decided this was the place to sit and eat instead of the picnic tables

We had a fireplace in our little pavillion. There was already hot coals so we started a fire

My brother steve's twins hannah and Alexis and my other brother Richard's daughter Keira

The kids enjoyed standing on part of the fireplace. It was a great day and a special day for Ashley. She's the cleanest one in our family right now.

First day of school

So all of my girls are in school all day and I have to admit it has been very nice. I plan on getting lots of cleaning and organizing done. This is Michaela's first year of seminary, she commented on how different it is to go to another building and sing a hymn and have a opening and closing prayer. I reminded her that if we were still in New Hampshire she would be getting up very early for early morning seminary so be thankful that she can take it during school hours.

summer fun

So it has been two months without blogging so I put a bunch of pictures together of our summer. We spent a lot of time with my dad fishing at strawberry resevoir catching crayfish on the dock with chicken legs. Most people keep them to eat but we just caught them and released them. we also fished in the boat with my dad catching Kokane salmon. They are very good eating! The first picture is of Michaela holding a chicken leg on a string with some crayfish attatched to it

Ashely holding a crayfish very carefully without getting pinched

Scott and Ashely with the BIG fish that they caught

My friend stacie from New hampshire who now lives in Idaho. We met for a couple of hours to visit

Ashley and Madison with their cousins Reagan and Alexis

Camping at strawberry again. Some of my girls with their cousins made a little house for all of the squirrels in our campground. I wanted to add that up above our campground were cabin homes and the night before there was a bear that knocked over a bunch of hummingbird feeders and bear tracks. The people never saw a bear but there was true evidence. My next night of sleepin in the tent was nerve racking for me and Ashley came to me in the night saying she couldn't sleep because she was scared of the bear. We made it through the night with no bear!

Camping can be so dirty. Michaela is cleaning Madison's feet with baby wipes. We go through a lot of them

Here is me fixing Ashley's hair

Ashley and Madison with their cousin reagan looking for rocks from a spring that has almost dried up. They collected some very pretty stones that were very smooth

Here is me don't I just look soooo cool

Ahhhh 4wheelin can be such hard work for Scott

Here is our tent we slept in

Our lovely fire with chairs around it. We like to sit around the campfire at night and talk.

And last but not least a picture of Madison because I have to share with you all what she said today at church. After sacrament meeting she said mommy do we have to go to our classes now and I said yes and then she asked if today was fast sunday and I said no and she said well is today slow sunday? Kids they say the cutest things!
So our summer is over with because school starts the 20 of August. All of my girls will be in school all day. It will be interesting having all day to do what I want. Hopefully I can get alot done!
